Etwinning project «Let’s play with Oidypus” between
Greece, Spain, France from November 2021-May 2022 for Class B Junior high
school. Responsible teacher is Vasiliki Dogani. The purpose of the project to
promote Greek culture and civilazation. Our students exchange letters in
ancient Greek with all countries.
All countries vote for the best logo. The students
research for Oidypus, mythology, art, psychology and make their own results. They
present their results in class. All counties participated in global contest in
March and won prize. They create common book, comic, puzzle, games and play
kahoot. They really enjoyed the project.

"Let's play with Οἰδίπους"
intends, on the one hand, to use ancient Greek as a language of communication
with the exchange of letters and the recording of short videos.
On the other hand, we are going to use the
character of Oedipus to get closer to Greek literature, mythology and
civilization, as well as its survival to the present time.
Part of our work will consist of collaborative
activities relates to the "Festival Européen Latin Grec "
"Oedipe&Cie" which will take place in March 2022.
Our students, who learn Ancient Greek and
Latin as well as modern languages such as English, French or Spanish, are going
to work in international teams and then, they will create collaborative
products like videos, comics, e-magazine, etc to share what they discovered all
together.

How to create International teams?
·
The teachers choose where to put their students (shared table): be
careful to have at least 3 different schools for each topic (but we can
have more)
·
How to present the topics: playfull way because the myth could be
difficult (share the games and plays used, drama… = make a dedicated page for
these tools,
·
Matilde will create forum for each topics so that the students
could start to speak together
To do what?
·

Collaborativ Researches (2 weeks) - March
·
Each team = A topic (Votation) Matilde/Ayo
·
In the Twinspace, the students can vote in a form and explain
their choices in the forum
·
Then the teachers look at the results of the forms to give the
topics to the different teams / if there is many teams want the same topic, the
teachers look at the explanation in the forum
·
Each topic: a ppt divided in different pages (Google slides)
·
Each students of the same school of each team choose which page
they fill (in forum)
·
When the ppt will be filled, we will put them all together to make
an Ebook
Each teacher are taking care of a topic, that means:
·
create the ppt with 5 or 6 parts
·
create the Twinspace page
Mercedes : Topic 1 “Summary of the story of Oedipus” and 2 “Main female characters in the story of
Oedipus”
Yiota: Topics 5 “The sphinx”
Viki: Topics 3 “Main male characters in the story of Oedipus”

Invite your students to become stylists or models for the day by
contributing to the Fantastic Fashion Show! Young designers are invited to play
with cuts, materials or patterns to create outfits inspired by haute couture
(here) that will evoke sphinxes, mermaids, chimeras or other hybrid and
“fantastic” creatures from Greek mythology. Feathers, imitations, vaporous or
textured fabrics, everything is allowed! Each costume will be worn by a student
filmed in a natural setting, if possible wooded – body language and model

Game of Trône
"Inspired by an experiment launched during the Biennale
d'art contemporain de Lyon around the famous "Series 7" wooden chair
by Danish designer Arne Jacobsen, the Game of Trône project proposes to imagine
and create a seat design evoking the throne of Oedipus from a customized
classroom chair. The challenge will therefore be to draw inspiration from the
story of Oedipus to transform a simple school chair into an art object."

- Evaluation results
he two waves of COVID suffered during this school year have caused numerous absences between teachers and students. This, together with the difficulty in finding matches in our schedules, has caused us not to meet online as much as we would have liked.
·
Despite these difficulties, we have managed to create final
products in which transnational teams have worked and we have played a final
kahoot with the participation of 5 of the 6 schools.
·
This project was born in the Multilateral eTwinning seminar
"Languages&Cultures of Antiquity", a meeting point to meet
colleagues from other countries, classical teachers or those interested in the
classical world.
·
The objective is fulfilled. We have started a collaboration that
will undoubtedly continue with other projects in the future.
